About The Dutch International Society

Greetings and welcome to the largest and oldest Dutch-American organization in the United States. We exist to maintain and strengthen ties with our Dutch heritage.

The specific mission of the Dutch International Society is to:

a) Foster in citizens a deeper understanding of and appreciation for Dutch and Dutch-American culture in the United States through programs and publications.

b) Coordinate and further the programs of Dutch-American focused organizations and individuals by functioning as a state and nationwide service organization and communication network.

c) Cooperate with appropriate individuals, organizations, or institutions on a local, state and national level in projects and activities that will promote and sustain interest in Dutch culture.

d) Stimulate and encourage the collection, preservation, interpretation and publication of Dutch and Dutch-American culture through conferences, publications, awards, educational programs, consulting services and related activities.

e) Enhance public support and understanding of Dutch and Dutch-American Culture.
